Why does an ex husband absolutely refuse to have any relationship with the ex wife after he's gotten the divorce?

    It depends on how acrimonious the separation was. In my parents case, my father got another woman pregnant before their divorce went through. He stole money from my mother too. As a child, I still remember the silence when he came to pick me up.

    Only after he decided he had made a mistake to marry his second wife did he start talking to my mother. When he married his third wife, he stopped talking to my mother again and this remained the case after he divorced his third wife.

    Now the animosity, 43 years after their divorce, is worse than ever!! What can one do? That's life.
