    • Try asking questions or reading the Bible independently of the literature. They will brand you an apostate if you are caught. Just ask Raymond Franz.

    • Those comments are a load of rubbish, from some-one who is obviously a fault finder, of course you can ask questions.

    • I wouldn't be a Witness if I couldn't have asked questions...I asked many questions before, and I continue to ask many questions...Questions are a necessary part of learning...And who do you know that knows it all?

    • Very true vew573. I don't think there would be very many JW's if we did not get satisfying answers when we were first studying. Try to get a satisfying answer about why babies die from a paid preacher.

    • If you would like to know how the Organization was set up theres
a book written. 30 Years a Watchtower Slave.
There is also another good book written by a Governing Body member
In Search of Christian Freedom By Raymond Franz 60 year Member. His
uncle Fred was the person who put the NWT together with four helpers. So if you are really free to do as you please read these.
Did you know when Armageddion did not happen as predcited
1,000,000 let the Organization. Smart Folks

    • I have a friend who was at headquarters with Raymond Franz. Franz thought that the society should charge more for the Watchtower and Awake than the 10 cents they asked for back then, to cover the cost of printing and shipping. When no one else would agree with him, he became disgruntled and left the society. He later wrote this book you refer to. And, he didn't give it away free....He found a way to make money...Being greedy was also the down fall of Judas Iscariot.

if anyone really wants to know about Jehovah's Witnesses, they should ask one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

I know if I had lived in the days of Jesus and his apostles, I would have gone to them to learn about their teachings, etc. I would'nt have gone to Judas Iscariot...because he was a traitor who turned on his former brothers, just like Franz.

    • Hey Doc, does Raymond Franz say how much he was paid as a Governing Body member? How much does the book that you and him are promoting cost?

A few scriptures that he would have done well to keep in mind:
(1 Timothy 6:4-6) he is puffed up [with pride], not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, 5 violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth, thinking that godly devotion is a means of gain. 6 To be sure, it is a means of great gain, [this] godly devotion along with self-sufficiency.

(1 Corinthians 10:10-11) Neither be murmurers, just as some of them murmured, only to perish by the destroyer. 11 Now these things went on befalling them as examples, and they were written for a warning to us upon whom the ends of the systems of things have arrived.

(Matthew 24:48-49) “But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ 49 and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards,
(2 Peter 3:3-4) For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”
