I see the thought police have already given me a negative rating on the question. I tried hard to write it in a non-offensive way....

    Revelations Chapter 14 - 1
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

It goes on to say that these are the virgins, the ones who beleive in God ... THe rest are sent to hell.

Now if there are 7 billion people alive today and no-one had ever lived before then that would mean about 1 in 5000 got to heaven.

If we assume 7 billion people have died so far - then that makes it one in 10,000.

Note I am not bashing Jehovah Witnesses - I have defended them on here when I have seen what I consider abusive questions - not based on their religion.

I am not bashing Christians or Jews - I am just asking for their interpretation. The way I read it - the Jehovah Witnesses would be right.

I used the King James Bible.

I will wait for the thought police to down rate me here too....

    • I think your question is a good question.  I nearly always rate down content whose point seems to be to whine about being rated down; and since that is how this “answer” begins and ends, here's a -5 for you.

    • Bob - Thats pathetic. At least my question is now positive rather than the big negative it was to start with. I assume that may have been you too except you say it is a good question.
I didnt answer until I was heavily rated down on the question. Which took all of a few minutes.
Im more disappointed that no one else has answered though to be honest.
I felt like retaliating - but I dont sink that low (besides Nevets pointed out its a waste of time).

    • Since I'm not the thought police, I rated your answer up:) I thought your answer helped to explain your question. People generally find what they look for. When people expect crap, that's usually what they see. Sometimes negative ratings say more about the rater's overall life mind-set than they do about the answer:) Food for thought.

    • Thanks Jodie44. I would still love some people to answer the question. I promise not to take away points unless their answer is deeply offensive and I will give points for a genuine opinion - whether I agree with it or not.

    • I wish I knew the answer. It's frustrating, I know.

    • The version I have doesn't say anything about anyone going to Hell in Rev. 14:1-6. It just says that these are virgin men who have never lied and are the only ones who know this song. There's no indication that there will never be more such people.
