The Greek Goddess, Nike, symbolizes victory. There is no better name to chose for a sporting goods company than something, or in this case someone, who symbolizes victory. In fact the Nike Swoosh symbolizes the goddess' wings. If you owned a sporting goods company, wouldn't you want people to think that if you wore their stuff, they would have victories?

    • Nike does not symbolize victory because Nike does not exist. It is a false goddess... a pagan goddess! God symbolizes victory... Jesus Christ symbolizes victory... He went to the cross... died for your sins and mine... then rose from the dead to show the world He has victory over death. That is victory... not Nike... the pagan goddess brought to us by the devil. And of course there's Phil Knight, the man who profits from all the unethical treatment of people who produce Nike shoes for him outside the U.S. It started evil and continues to show it is evil.
