Why do some women prefer to have male friends?

    There are two basic reasons for this. One is the reason that women will actually tell you (and in some cases its true):
    - Men are easier to get on with. They're less bitchy. Less competitive. They don't spend as much time worrying about trivial things like hair and make-up.

    The other reason is:
    - When you're friends with guys you're constantly the centre of attention, they probably all fancy you on some level so you get barrel-loads of compliments, When a guy you like comes on the scene you don't have to worry that he's going to prefer one of your friends (well, unless they're gay, but that could happen anyway!)

    • It feels nice to be the only girl in the group, but my male friends never "go over the line". They don't compliment me (like they're flirting) or physically touch me, etc.
