There are a lot of martial arts factories out there that crank out black belts. IMO Most of them can be beaten by kenpo green belt.

I agree with petrusromanus on the McDojo's. That is what some of us call blackbelt factories.
That is annoying.
Regarding some of those 8 year olds... some of them DO earn it. Yes, I have seen some that have.

Back in the 1960s, when I started my training, there were two Japanese twin girls (instructor's kids) with brown belts in my class that were only age 7. They had been training daily since age 2 and they would easily and routinely drop me and many others on our heads ... and then there are the bogus Bozos with bribed or forgery belts

I have seen prodigy children that were capable of grasping advanced concepts in martial arts. They are probably fewer than one in five hundred and are very good at what they can do. I'd say that if the late Ed Parker passed you as a black belt, then you could hold your own against other black belts.
