Why do animals have tails? even some animals that don't seem to use them..

    i think its for balance but i cant be absolutley sure. also animals use them to waft flys and stuff out of the way

    • I am pretty sure that Rats use them for balance but i'm still wondering why cats have them...:S lol

    • i have just been looking on the internet and it says cats swish their tales from side to side to get their balance before jumping, so thats why cats have tails LOL
