What was the most famous british war ship in WWII?

  • Most Likely the HMS Hood, a Battlecruiser more than 20 years older than Bismark.
    If only HMS Price of Wales was at the front of the battle line, so many British lives would have been saved! :(

    Although other contenders would be HMS King George V or HMS Glorious, the carrier sunk by the German battlecruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisenau.

    Or Barham, the Battleship sunk by the German U-boat, or Royal Oak, sunk by a U-boat in the suposidly inpregnable Scapa Flow.
