No one even gave an honorable mention to Keith Moon (at time of my post). You should all be ashamed. For anyone familiar with drumming, you know what I'm talking about.

After I heard for the first time someone claim Neil Peart was The Greatest, I always paid extra attention to Rush, but I never picked up on the supposedly-great drumming except occasionally. So unless he's WAY more technical in Rush's more obscure songs as compared to the radio songs, I remain unconvinced.

BTW, Baker and Bonham are obvious contenders.

    • while everyone is entitled to there opinion. might i suggest that you rent or buy a copy of the DVD titled "RUSH IN RIO" and watch the drum solo. Then come back and tell me what you think of him. Neal Peart that is.

    • Just listen to any solo by Peart. Working Man is extensive yet other songs such as La Villa Strangiato, YYZ, or any other Rush album from the last 40+ years! Wait you can just wait and see him live in concert! The guy is a GOD!
