Help answer this question below.
I've got three, and every one of them does this at around that age. It keeps being like that until they're around 4 1/2, too. It's the hardest part of being a parent, in my opinion. I am pretty much stuck at home if I have a child between those ages. The only ways to help is to take a ziplock baggie full of his favorite kinds of non-messy snacks, like raisins, crackers, cheerios, pretzels etc. along with you and a bottle of water or juice as well. Sometimes when they are extra cranky it's because they are hungry or thirsty, and even if they aren't, snacks keep them entertained. Other than that, just grit your teeth and do the best you can. It's hard, but it doesn't last forever. It just seems like it!

I agree, my daughter knows exactly what buttons she can push on me, so I find whatever I can to keep my sanity. Bribery is better then her getting in trouble, so if it works, so be it.;)
