The geography of Eau Claire is characterized by several river (Chippewa, Eau Claire) and creek (Lowes, Otter, Sherman) valleys, a few lakes (Dells Pond, Half Moon, Hallie), a number of hills (Mt. Tom, Mt. Simon, Mt. Nemo, etc.) and ridges (Abbe Hill, etc.), and several areas of relatively flat land (Putnam Heights, East Hill (oddly enough, is pretty flat), "the Planets").
