First you have to define dating. Dating, as I define it, is going out together to enjoy a movie, dinner, or other mutually rewarding activity. "Hanging out" as it is done in middle school does not (in my opinion) constitute dating, but it is more of a 'getting to know you' process that young people go through. I know that my answer is an opinionated one, but hopefully you will find it helpful in some way.
