I use (and love) ZoneAlarm. The basic version is available for free at http://www.zonelabs.com. I've used an older version of ZoneAlarm Pro and currently run the latest free version, and I find the free version to be just as good for what I use it for. • I agree. I'm using ZAPro after using sygate pro, black ice, Norton's. ZA's a much better product. (not as resource hungry and not as many 'holes' as the other three.

    • Zone alarm is good when it works properly. It can be a realy pain to troubleshoot. The best personal firewall is a router (though it isn't software). Good answer though.

    • The only problem I have with it is that Firefox and ZoneAlarm DO NOT MIX!! (at least on my pc). It froze like once every two seconds when I used it.
