Question

Help answer this question below.

I started cutting, I don't want it to get infected (I think it is). How do I cut 'efficiently'? Without it getting infected. I've started to put bandaids over my cuts when they are fresh, could that be it?

what a moronic question, and i can't believe people are giving advice as to how to keep going with this "efficiently"

as a now former cutter, i know the damages of it.

when your future children see the scars on your arms, you will regret every minute of it. the best way to prevent infection is to NOT CUT.

    duh.

    • This site just kicks my ass sometimes. I almost do not know what to think or say. Like now for instance. +4 just for being able to pull something off that makes sense. Good answer.

    • usally the best way so it dosnt get infected is yes dont cut but then im just contradicting myself in that but the best way is dont cover it up with bandaids, and let air to it also clean it after if your really woried about it geting infected, but ive been cuting for 3 years now and never goten it infected its also good to clean the blade or whatever it is you use to cut.

    • That makes perfect sense, squishy. Please make sure to tell her the best place to buy the blades, too, and how long to soak them in alcohol. When she's ready to graduate to chainsaws, I have a fanstastic place she can get them for cheap. What's next - fancy knots for nooses? Jeezus.....WTF!

    • No need for her to spend money on the chainsaw Phillis.
I have one in my garage she can use. She would just have to clean the rust first so the 'cut' where her forearm used to be won't get infected.

Then I would take her amputated hand and begin smacking her in the face with it.
Then I'd smack squishy with it for the 'encouragement'
Anyone 'giving advice' on how to damage and harm themselves is insulting. What the fuck kind of world do we live in?
Sale her some PCP while you're at it.
Fucking moron. The both of you.
It seems the proper question to be asking AB is how to stop! Not how to cut safely. There is NO way to cut safely.
      *Sigh*
I could really go for a pizza right now.

    • We can't control the mindset of the questioners when they ask the questions, but we can certainly deal with thier issues with sensitivity, care, and genuine concern. Coaching someone so that they can hurt themselves and heighten it to an art form is NOT what Answerbag - or life, in general - is about.

And I agree Phillis. I'm like pissed that people are coaching her on this issue as if it's to be taken lightly.
If I asked a friend of mine in person how to cut I would expect them to smack me with their words a bit instead of drawing charts and graphs for me.
      Damn.
