Why must you be over 18 to buy/sell items on Ebay?

    In the home country of the eBay servers, the United States, a person must be at least 18 years of age in order to legally enter into contracts. Most sites that deal with financial information require their members to legally agree to certain requirements. Therefore, these same sites require their members to be of legal age.
