Because it's so ingrained into the world's culture that it's impossible to get rid of. It's like alchohal.

Yeah right its worse than tobacco lol that last Marlboro Light really made me high, get a life!!!
by Candygirl on September 2nd, 2008
Tobacco itself is not worse but the Marlboro light you smoked has far more additives and chemicals in it- nicotine is addictive, marijuana is not. Alcohol is also far worse than marijuana. Believe me I used to think pot smokers were horrible until I tried it.

Marijuana isn't addictive!!! Try telling that to all of the pot heads that you know.
by Candygirl on February 23rd, 2009
I'm not going to argue with you because whatever I say you are not going to listen.I used to be that way until I tried it. I don't have to ask a pot head because I do smoke when I want. I do not crave or have to have it. Sometimes I go months without doing it, and then I do it with friends just like one would have a drink with a friend. It is a fact that Marijuana is not addictive, you are smoking the actual plant so there is nothing added to it like cigarettes. And if you do really smoke cigarettes its pretty sad you are on here discriminating us when you are the one smoking something also for stress or to relax. That is all marijuana does is make you relax. People don't need to judge before they know the fact, and my aunt is on medical marijuana because her body has built an immunity any drug that relieves her pain. She has multiple sclerosis and without it she would be suffering. I don't see cigarettes or alcohol helping one. Look at the death rates of those and then look itup 4 pot

If pot and alcohol is on the top ten list of why people die-then why is it legal. I think we should have a right to do it just like anyone smoking a cigarette or drinking alcohol. Smoking pot doesn't have any worse side effects than taking pain medicine prescribed to you. Even Tylenol taken too much can cause liver damage and holes in your stomach. Drinking too much coke can cause enamel on your teeth to come off and also put holes in your bones over time causing them to be very weak when you get older-my doctor told me that.

I meant tobacco and alcohol not pot on the first sentence

blah blah blah I think your brain is fried. LOL anyway this was a poll, see people are entitled to have their own opinion, that is what you have because you like to get stoned. That is cool, do your thing. You don' have any facts to prove that smoking pot isn't addictive because that is total BS, I know way to many pot heads that can't live without it. Good day:))
by Candygirl on March 2nd, 2009
yeah having your own opinion is different than offending people
by annonymous on March 7th, 2009
hahaha candygirl your so ignorant, you can barely listen to others opinions, or in this case, facts. marijuana isn't technically addictive, it makes heavy users dependant on it. they will feel a constant good mood relaxed feeling, as they are high and have THC in their brains for a longer time (because a higher concentration of it has been built up). if that heavy user stopped once the effects had worn off, it would seem like they were very down, and prone to irritation or stress. this makes them want another hit on the bong to get them up. ask any occasional marijuana user that has a few bongs and a few joints on the weekend. its definitely not hard for them to stop after the weekend.
