Question

Help answer this question below.

How do you bond with an African Grey? I am going to inherit one from my mother (in 5-10yrs) and I want to make the transition easier for him by bonding with him now (I am home for four months). But he bites and makes me nervous. I need advice.

Firstly dont be nervous, parrots can sense this, be confident and incontrol.when you are there have your chair next to his cage so you sit close to him, he maynot like it at first but he'll soon learn you are the person thats sits so close to him.also offer him nice food that you are eating, biscuit etc.and talk quietly to him.you need to keep doing this every time your there,it may take along time. good luck.
