You're reading Is there a word which means the opposite to oxymoron (i.e when a noun implies, and thus makes redundant, the adjective put in front of it)? Don't ask for an example as I can't think of anything

I meant phrases like male actor,
or more commonly free gift,
I often laugh when I hear these,
It gives a little lift,
For the adjective is redundant,
And is there just to fill the page,
And to sell more products,
Is this materialistic age

"Actor" can be male or female, when given the chance. :o)
