What are the basic rules for calling "shotgun"?

    My basic rules:

    1) Have pity on the sad fool that thinks saying "shotgun" means they get to sit in the front

    2) proceed to sit in the front seat and ignore their whining "but I called it" like a pre-schooler

    3) If I know them, deny it. If I dont know them... I hope I never do.
