You're reading Xbox live connectivity issues - My Xbox is on a network. I am able to connect to Xbox Live. I am able to send and receive messages and download from the Xbox marketplace. However, I am unable to join audio or video chats or connect to multi-player games.

I paid for xbox live. The problem was the setting on the router. It is fixed now, thanks.
