Help answer this question below.

I personally think that "LOL" is the most overused, annoying acronym on the Internet. Do you agree?

    LOL doesn't bother me that much. It's a way to change the inflection of a statement made over the net, usually appropriate for helping to distinguish between something said to be funny and something said to be nasty/sarcastic. OMG is annoying if used more than once in a post, or frequently in IM conversations. I actually tend to say 'OMG' in real life than I do online.

    I find excessive use of !!!1!1!!1!!!!11 more obnoxious than anything else. Possibly because it usually goes with "posts lik ths wear i cant spel or use puntcuatoin!!1!!!1" or "POSTS LIK THIS IM SCREEMIN @ U OMG IM ONLINE!!1!!111!!!!ELEVENTY-ONE!11"

    Definitely have favorites, though: PEBKAC should be used more often and I'm quite fond of (Z)OMGWTFBBQ!, ROFLMAO and WTF.

    OT: Did anyone else see that commercial with the girl talking to her Mom in text/IM speak and go "You're doing it wrong!"? Because I definitely did. Srsly, who says 'IDK' IRL?
