The PP stands for "Papa Pontifex," which is included in the full signature of the pope. Translated roughly, the "Papa" means "Father," and Pontifex is derived from the words "Pons" and "Facere," which mean "bridge" and "to make or build" respectively.

    • Sorry, but it means Pontifex Pontificum, a title inherited from the purely practical title of the Roman Emperors who expanded their territory by BUILDING BRIDGES ( as in over water) so the title is BRIDGE BUILDER "to the Max!'- Supreme Bridge builder, literally (The) Bridge Builder of the Builders of Bridges The Pope has that role as coordinator of the work of the Church worldwide, including with a divided Western Church, but also importantly today, as in the recent visit to Turkey and in September to Auswitch, between the Jewish and Islamic Faiths and the Orthodox branch of the one Christian faith," the eastern lung' as has been said of the two lungs (Western and Eastern).
