Why can't two cell phones have the same phone number?

    It would cause too much confusion. Say if you and your spouse each had a cell phone with the same number and someone decided to call you. There is no way to distinguish between you and your spouse and essentially the call will be sent to whoever answers thier phone first.

    • I am one person, uno, no other. I would like to keep one cell phone in one car and another in my truck. I to would be great to have a back up in case of damage or loss and it would be save the hassle of keeping up with the critter all the time.

      It would not be confusin but a go IN fusion. Sure would like to do it.
