Let me tell you the truth here, as someone married.... yes.

My husband hasnt watched porn since we have been together, but all the porn he watched before makes me feel inadequate. It has been a persistent stumbling block in our marriage. I mean.. I can still turn heads, but I will never be on the same level as those girls, and I always wonder, is he fantasizing about me? or them?

Yes, Its damaging to future relationships. So are strip clubs.

I am not saying dont masterbate, but a certain amount of mental purity does make your relationships better, the same as not having 50 sexual partners WILL make your marriage better.

    • Sooo true. Especially the bit about mental purity :) It does make things much better. I was with a guy for 4+ years and he always masturbated (over other people as well as me) and watched porn. I asked him not to, he SAID he stopped, but I don't think he did. It always really hurt me. We never had a great sex life at all. Now I'm with someone new. he very very rarely masturbated before we were together (like maybe every 6 weeks), and now that we're together he said he NEVER would (also, he has never had the desire to watch porn). We only see each other every weekend, sometimes less, so it it torture for the both of us. But the torture feels kinda good! But his mind is so much more pure than other men I've met. And the sex is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. For him, it is about being with another person, not just the feeling you get from reaching climax.
