    There's no shortage of reasons why tooth grinding, by day OR by night, is bad for you. Some people grind their teeth so hard that they can actually crack or dislodge them! Even if you don't grind that hard, it puts wear and tear on your teeth and jaws and can even lead to headaches and rib pain. (This comes from being elbowed or punched by the spouse you're keeping awake with your racket.)
