Why do some American men import brides from third world countires?

    Well, BG and TK, are we arguing or are we trying to answer an AB question? BG asked why American men import Third World brides and I offered an opinion. Have you got a better explanation? I live in a developing country, and another reason why the girls are in more U.S. demand is that in a country where there isn't much money there is a lot more competition for the small pool of men who can actually afford to start a family--so girls take the trouble to look as good as possible. Almost none are obese, for example, and they don't do grunge, slash their Levis to ribbons or try to look like heroin addicts. They don't go out without makeup and dress as nicely as they can afford to. Whether you think that is "right" is a matter of opinion--but it does answer the question.
