Help answer this question below.

Is a duck-billed platypus classed as a mammal even though it lays eggs? If so, is it the only mammal that lays eggs?

    Actually, a duck-billed platypus is classed as a monotreme. A rather primitive form of mammal. Largely because it feeds its young with milk.
