The peas solution worked great!!!! My fish looked really bad last night and just couldn't stay down in the tank so I cooked up some frozen peas until they were quite soft. Then I squeezed the skin off one and put it on the end of a pin so it wouldn't sink to the bottom (the first one did and the fish couldn't stay down long enough to eat it). He ate the one off the pin and in about an hour he had a large, umm, poo, and then he could swim everywhere and looked less puffy. This morning he was back to his old self and swimming everywhere. Please cook some peas before you write off your fish!!!

My goldfish got ich. I gave it medication (bottle brand: Kordon "Ich Attack") but it's getting even more spots! Help!!

My goldfish has his side fins clamped to his side and he just lays on the bottom of the tank then everynow and then shoots to the top and

I have to bring 30 feeder fish to school and i was wondering if it would be ok to keep them in the bag they come in overnight?

You're reading My goldfish keeps floating to the top of the tank. He struggles to swim down but within seconds has floated straight back up again and just sits still at top of water. Whats wrong?

I just wanted to add that I tried this myself.Our tank was murky this morning and our "superfish" (he's a goldfish but super to us) was floating to the top on his side. I cut the heater to drop it down to 55 degrees, changed 40% of the water, added salt and stress coat. I also fed my lil guy mushy peas. In an hour he was swimming strong again. I have no idea if all or part of this helped.He was floating at the top so when he was sucking the surface i dropped lil amounts of mushy pea in the water for him to digest.Seemed to work. Thank you all so much!!
