I don't know, but it's obnoxious. I always make sure to ask if anyone will be bothered by my smoke, and I always smoke outside, never next to an open window, and I always do my best to hide the cigarette if children walk by while I'm smoking because I don't feel right about smoking in front of them, so I feel like I'm doing things right, but people seem to feel okay about staring, even from the other side of a window where there's no chance of the smoke reaching their noses, or making comments when walking by.

    • I appreciate your efforts to "hide" your cigarette when kids are walking by, but I'm sorry. You are not hiding anything. The smoke will give you away every time.
