I'm not sure about what the fees are, but I do know that when couples adopt outside of the US, they generally have to travel to the other country at least twice. I know a couple who adopted a child from Russia and it cost over 30,000 dollars. That may or may not be less expensive than anywhere else, but it sounds like a lot of money to me.

It's true about the money. I stated OUR reason for adopting overseas - it's a wait period. You have to wait many years for the local adoption and we were approaching 60. It took us 8 months total to go overseas.
