Any tips about adopting a dog from the pound?... we are going to look and maybe adopt tomorrow..

    First of all KUDOS! to you for going to the pound for your pet. Now, most shelters have a get acquainted area - use it. Pay close attention to the dogs interactions and reactions. Ask lots of questions i.e. history of the animal, shots administered, observations of employees, etc. Hopefully, you have given thought to the type of companion you want, the amount of time you have to devote to an animal, and the size of your living space.
