DVD-R, no doubt. After spending many years in video production, I have found that DVD-R's are far more compatible with equipment than +R discs. I do belive that DVD+R was originally intended for computer useage only, but since the dawn of being able to burn onto DVD's, many manufactureres made their equipment compatible with both. I do agree with Ephraim, that you should double-check your equipments recommendations, but my guess is that it will say that it is compatible with both DVD-R and DVD+R. My personal opinion is that you should go with -R's because many people are still using DVD players they bought when they first came out. In that regard, DVD+R's may not be recognized in those machines, whereas with DVD-R's, it will have a better chance of being readable.
