Where's the oil filter located on a 2001 chevy s10 6 cyl? does it have a cover?

    I'm not familiar with the vehicle so I can't help you with location specifics. I can tell you that it will not have any kind of cover. It will look like a beer can screwed to the side or bottom of the block.

    • on the two wheeled vehicle it is right of the oil pan (if you are under the vehicle) up above the control arm on the block. Actually a really good spot and there is a built in funnel to direct the oil that leaks into the pan.
