    Here are some possibilities:

"You know, John, that is a very thought provoking question and I'd like to give it some more thought before I commit to an answer. Thanks for asking."

"You know a lot of people have different opinions about that. What do you think? .... ( their answer) ... I see, I see. Well, you do have a point. Hmmmmm ...."

"I go back and forth on that one. I can see both sides."

"Let me get back to you on that one."

"It doesn't matter what I think. What counts is what you think."

Don't say, "You wouldn't want to know my opinion on that." - That will make them so curious that they will never leave you alone.

Better: "You know, I don't really have a strong opinion on that at the moment."

    or ...

"It depends on the day of the week."
