Why do people in general say the biggest problem with homeschooling is the "socialization" issue?

    The main reason I asked this question was because:
    ...I taught my kids for several years and this was the most asked question. Yet, not one person ever questioned if I was qualified.
    ...My kids are all in school now and on the Honor Roll. They have adjusted well and made many friends. It seems many of the kids that have been mainstreamed their entire school careers seem very inept in the department of etiquette and in several situations I can almost see the entire universe revolving around their little egos. Which is what brought me around to pondering this question again. Which system socializes our children better, home schooling or government education?
