Most Catholic churches don't have any problem with performing a mixed religion marriage. In fact, when I got married in 2000, the non Catholic partner didn't even have to convert. (They used to only allow/perform the marriage if the non Catholic converted.) I don't think that your being divorced is a problem either, but I stress the "think."

Also, the rules may be different where you live. If you have a specific church in mind for the wedding, talk to the priest. He can answer your questions better. Hope this helps some :D

    • The divorce will require an investigation as to the validity of the marriage

    • Divorce is a CIVIL event, the annulment process is a SACRAMENTAL, SPIRITUAL ONE, and only uses the divorce as factual evidence, irrelevant to the discussion of the marriage's integrity, maturity or othewise.
