Question

Help answer this question below.

What are specific words or phrases that were used when you were younger, that are considered "out of date". For example, we used to say "wicked nice" which was replaced by "fresh", then "hip", "jiggy", "cool" "awesome", etc....as many as u can remember!

    hope and peace

I asked this question because I think it's funny that my 10 year old came home yesterday and called something "wicked cool". She didn't believe me that 25 years ago I was saying the same thing. I wonder how many other terms will be recycled and considered "new".

    • 25 years sound about right. That is the time it takes for copyright to expire (usually a bit more actually). So those old movies that gave "wicked nice" to your generation, can now be found free on the web and give it to another.

I would expect a lot more terms to get recycled like that.

and, like, i think, like that is right wicked, like. Yeah.
