Question

Help answer this question below.

What do you think of someone who refuses to be identified as either gender, but wants to be called "ee" or "im" instead of "she", "he", "her", or "him"? Would you do it? (This person's gender has not been adjusted, but wants to avoid social expectations.)

I know I'll get downrated for this, but I don't care.

    That's just annoying.

    • LOL - I, for one, am not likely to downrate that. I just didn't want to be the one to say it. ;-)

    • As someone who could probably fit some kind of pronoun "adjustment," given that I wear short skirts, pantyhose, and high heels out as a man, and that I want breasts, I agree that it's annoying. I have no problem with "he" or "him" or "his" when referring to me. The language has to reflect reality, but you can't just make stuff up because you feel like it.

    • I'm glad to hear at least some people have enough sense to think like you do. My friend tends to dress fairly "artistically", and she doesn't have any desire to be male... she just doesn't want to be identified as a female somehow. I think she's just really confused about who she is and who she wants to be.

    • i have a good friend, jordan, who changed his name from rochelle, doesn't plan on having gender reassignment surgery, but would prefer to be recognized as a male, and i don't have a problem doing this. but i have to agree with xhepera, and i kind of wish i could steal all the words in his (her?) answer.

    • Did you see the news recently about the first "male" pregnancy? Some woman had gender reassignment surgery but opted to keep her organs so she could get pregnant via artificial insemination. Mmhm. "male" pregnancy indeed.

    • i'm seriously confused on that. i heard several things. so he actually did have reassignment surgery? is he just going to have a c section then? and how did they even implant it if he doesn't have a vagina???

    • As far as I could tell, she had most of the surgeries, but opted to keep her internal organs (uterus, ovaries, etc). She definitely had her breasts removed and I believe most of the rest of the surgery - just leaving the internal organs behind to facilitate having a baby. Then they did the procedure into the existing organs, and yes, they plan to have the baby by C-section, as the vagina is no longer in tact. I also read that she had to stop taking the hormone therapy upon getting pregnant so the baby would grow right.

    • it was a woman that had her tits cut off, male hormones injected to grow a beard and got a haircut. and that is it. no male pregnancy....a woman had the kid and a woman is having another one.

    • Yep. Really, it's a woman, who mutilated herself to appear to be a man, and now wants to have kids. Great.
