If a self-aware android was powered by a hand-crank and it was capable of cranking itself, would this be perpetual energy? Would he therefore run perpetually off of his own energy source?

    mm.. i suppose, but i think if generators and motors were ever efficient enough to do that.. it would only keep itself alive to keep itself alive.. it wouldn't be able to be "self aware".. it would just be a bunch of gears..

    like.. it wouldn't be able to do anything else..

    i mean.. a generator that could power a motor to power itself.. the motor would consume more energy then the generator could produce, and the generator would need more energy then the motor can crank out lol

    when i was younger i had a lot of little mechanical pieces like a generator and motor.. i needed a battery to power the motor to power the generator, the generator powered some fans, but wouldn't give me enough power to crank the generator lol..
