    Let some time for the events to calm down and then start making good stuff happening again. Trying to save your reputation in a storm of bad events/news might just be useless ...
    Like Ellen DeGeneres for example, she let the dust fall about all the gossip about her sexuality and her sitcom and etc. and then started making good stuff happening again... You could always try to say something and defend yourself when your reputation is going downwards, but you might just ignite counter-attacks even more...
