Bluetooth is used for wireless connections. Ever seen those business folks walking around with wireless earpieces clipped to their ears? They are paired with their bluetooth phone so they can make and answer calls without touching their cell phone. The newer cell phones also have the ability to stream music through the bluetooth signal for wireless rocking times.

    • Oh, thanks!
I also heard that if you have bluetooth on, they can track the location of your phone, like for 911. Is that true, or a myth? Or should I "ask" that?! :P

    • I haven't heard that. But bluetooth only has a range of about 33 feet. If they want to track your phone they just use the actual cell phone signal.
