Out of all the notorious serial killers, who do you find to be the most detestable one?

How can you say that one serial killer is worse than another? There's no sliding scale of depravity here, they're all terrible.

Have you seen that TV show "Most Evil"? Its a show where this forensic pychiatrist uses his "scale of evil" to rank serial killers. Apparently there are all sorts of contrubuting factors that make one serial killer more or less evil than the next (according to him). He lists 22 categories of evil. Accounting for the motive, method and madness of each evildoer, the categories range from those who kill in self-defense (Category No. 1), to jealous psychopathic lovers (Category No. 9), to serial torturers and killers (Category No. 22).

Maybe they can be ranked from a psychological stand, but I still find their acts to be equally reprehensible.

wait you think killing in self-defense is equally as bad (or wrong at all) as torturing then killing someone?
