Can i perm and dye my hair in the same day?

    No No No NO!!!

    Do not do it. It is too harsh to your hair... I suggest dying it first and waiting at least 2-3 weeks to perm. Discuss this with your hair dresser!!!

    • I'm curious as to why the dye first? I would be afraid that if the dye were first, the perm chemicals might somehow change the new color. That's why I was leaning toward perm first. But, I don't really know how the "science" part of it works. Seriously, I'd like to know how this works, because I get perms fairly often, but haven't colored my hair yet. But I'm thinking about it, because I'm getting quite a bit of gray now.

    • The perm won't strip the hair of dye, but the dye might strip the hair of perm.
