• Thank you for your answer, but i got the job, and then he ended up staying for the sake of me coming into his "family" (as he describes),and told his manager if i came to work at the restaurant, then he would leave. He's worked there for 5 years and is of course friends with the manager, so the manager took his word, and i didn't end up getting the job. It's sad how you think you know somebody, especially when you're dating them, but it's a rude awakening when you realize they never were who you knew...

• I'm really sorry he's still interfering with your life, but I'm sure you'll get a better job. Remember, living well is the best revenge, so if you're doing better as a result of this than you would have if you'd gotten this job.... :-)

• Thanks for looking at the situation, with a positive outlook. I think thats a quality most people don't have! Yeah, i'm lucky to not be working there, because i would have to see him all the time, and i think that would have really effected my life. He already lives right across the street and I see him enough as it is, so i'm glad it worked out the way it did. And i like my new job as well, thank you for listening!
