You're reading If God does exist and all who accept Jesus into thier lives make it to heaven, and assuming they did, what would you say to people like Hitler, Bin-Laden, Sadam, Khan ect? Could you also forgive them?
Comments
And that is why I dont believe!
Your god there, is a selfish biggot.

How is He selfish if He bled and died for humanity and held all of the sins of humanity upon Himself? That is the most selfless act ever is it not?
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on October 5th, 2007
No it is not!
It is the most selfish act ever!
"If you dont worship me then you will spend eternity in hell!"
The stuff you talked about in your comment simply gave him a reason to make gullible people like yourself feel guilty!
That in itself is a selfish act.
by slothmister on October 6th, 2007
you asked the question yourself. Could you also forgive them? Ya, there are horrible people in the world, but we are forgiven, and anybody who comes to believe can go to heaven! It's just the way parents act towards their kids!

Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh, slothmister. He who created you took the penalty for your sin and my sin. That is not one bit selfish. He was stripped and beaten and scourged and then bled and died on an old rugged, cursed tree for you and I. He was forsaken by the Father for you and I. How is that selfish to endure such unbelivable pain and taste of hell for a mere fallen race of sinners?
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on October 6th, 2007
Read my last comment, it explains exactly why it was a selfish act!
by slothmister on October 6th, 2007
I already did before posting my comment above.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on October 6th, 2007
Obviously you did not or you can not understand plain English.
by slothmister on October 6th, 2007
Yes, I read it, and I find it illogical that any one would bleed, suffer, be beaten, scourged, stripped, mocked, spat upon, betrayed, despised by all men and rejected, hated, forsaken by God and everyone else as well, and nailed to bleed and die on the old rugged cross for our sins alll to make people feel guilty and have personal gain. That is just ridiculas and pointless--and totally unworth it. Jesus did all that for us because He is selfless towards us and He loves us and wants us to be saved and live forever with Him.

The fact (according all religious people I have spoken too, Christians and Catholics at least) that you need to "accept Jesus as your saviour" BEFORE you are allowed into heaven, regardless of the life you have led, is SELFISH!
I dont care about what allegedly happened when he was alive 2000 years ago.
by slothmister on October 7th, 2007
It is only just, sir. If I were a criminal in court and I had done numerous crimes that I were guilty of, and the judge told me I owed a fine of $50,000, and I was broke and unable to pay, then I would have to go to prison. But then, if some man that I did not even know came in and said "Your Honor, here is $50,000. I am paying the fine for him because I love him" and the judge said to me "will you accept that this man has paid your debt?", if I were to say "Yes, Your Honor" then I would be free to go, but then if I were to say "No, Your Honor" then I would have to pay for my crime. It would only be just.

seriously, would you like for example give money to somebody who didn't respect you, and you would know that they would be ungrateful? It's the same thing as believing in Jesus Christ.
by calova on October 7th, 2007
Jesus loved me more than anything, more than Himself, so believing in Him is worth it. He greatly rewards those that believe in and follow Him, and faith pleases Him greatly. In fact, the Bible teaches us that without faith it is impossible to please Him.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on October 7th, 2007
You see thats why he is a selfish man!
"He greatly rewards those that believe in and follow Him". So if someone chooses not to believe him simply for the FACT that there is no proof he exists then he does not reward them in any way and in fact, punishes them by sending them to an eternity in Hell.
That definition of Jesus (as quoted DIRECTLY from you) is SELFISH!
by slothmister on October 7th, 2007
To not follow Him would be selfish of me, so really, I would be the selfish one not to follow Him because He died for me.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on October 7th, 2007
But he did not die for you! He died 2000 years before you were even born!
Your argument is flawed, it has no facts, nothing you claim can be verified.
I suggest we leave this as it is now, but feel free to comeback and discuss more if you realise that your Jesus is selfish and decide to change your beliefs.
by slothmister on October 7th, 2007
Jesus did die for me, sir, because He knew who I was before I was even born. He created me. He is God Almighty and He knew that I would be born one day and that I would be a sinner rebellious towards Him and He took my and your sin upon Himself and paid the debt for them in full by His shed blood and death on the cross nearly 2,000 years before my birth and yours, and I would rather die the most painful of deaths than renouce my faith in Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on October 7th, 2007
You are welcome to your medi-evil beliefs.
by slothmister on October 7th, 2007
And you are entitled to your's, sir.
