Help answer this question below.

What is the actual difference between a H3 12V 25W bulb and a H3 12V 35W, I replaced the former with the later and something went amiss burnt out - short and fogged up spotlight lens?

    Well, the main difference is the wattage. So I'm assuming since you put a higher wattage bulb than before it, it burnt out. Or you may have touched the bulb with your fingers.
