Me either, but not much we can do over the Internet talking to a complete stranger. We can offer advise, and help but it my fall on deaf ears. Lots of these people neeed real life people to take care of their mental health issues.

You guys are right. This was one of the first questions I answered on here and I think I would have approached it differently if I had looked at that questioner's other posts. What I was sure I wasn't going to do was say, "It takes about 'x' aspirin tablets to do it."

Hi Fred, I always check for other questions, because it is important how we answer some people. I dont check everyone's just the ones that are disturbing, with undertones of suicide and things of that nature. Some of these young kids seem to be in trouble and are reaching out to the Internet for help. Hard to say what is truth, and if they are simply bored and lonely and want attention. In any case it is frustrating at times.

Just normal: I'm sure calling this person "disturbing" is VERY helpful. I'm not telling you to give him or her the answer, but maybe you could be a little more compassionate? Of course, most people have no idea how it feels to be contemplating suicide and to feel like their lives are not worth living; they never get it unless they go through it themselves. I hate it when people say to "Get help immediately" when you feel suicidal. Yeah right! I really want to be locked up in a mental ward like a prisoner. Didn't even do anything wrong, really, and they take your belongings, even shoelaces, like you are a murderer or something. I would rather die.

I just came here because I fear for another. I checked the original poster's profile, and I believe it to be bogus. My first clue was the name "horseandponymagazine." The person claims to have no education, but writes too well, the grammar and spelling (save for some keyboard slip-ups) is spot on correct. I think the poster is just having some fun.
Meanwhile, what you guys have been saying has been useful for me. The person I referred to earlier has been carted out of here by ambulance 3 times in the last 2 years as a result of suicide attempts. Her organs, including her brain, have been permanently damaged as a result. She requires both anti-psychotic and pain meds, but the doctors will only dole them out one day at time, so I have to go to the pharmacy every day to pick them up. She's now asking me for over-the-counter aspirin. I came here to find out how dangerous they potentially could be.
So, answer the questions.
