Don't you mean Stalin? Marx presented a political philosophy that was tragically flawed in part because it was easily corrupted by tyrants like Stalin.
by SalientAlien on October 30th, 2006
No, I don't mean Stalin, and no, I don't think he "corrupted" Marxism. Everywhere Marxism has been implemented you have the mass murder of good people. Marxism can't be improved and must be rejected and actively opposed.

Have you ever read Animal Farm?
by Fisherofman on November 13th, 2006
Yes, Fisherofman, and 1984 and a lot of other great books on the subject.
by Roger Kovaciny on November 13th, 2006
Look, I am no supporter of communism or Marxism, but Stalin was a vile manipulative murderer. Marx's notable career was political philosophy. To say that Stalin's murders were Marx's responsibility is to make Stalin a mere tool, which he clearly was not. Stalin cared about only power, and I'm not sure where you get this stuff about Marx being a Satanist.

People have justified slavery by referencing the New Testament. By this argument, one can say that Jesus was the most evil person who lived, as more than 200 million people died as a result of the (non-muslim) African slave trade.

I'm not even going to bother discussing this because this is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever seen...ever.

Slavery existed in every culture in history. And who brought it to an end? Christians. Until 1787 there wasn't even any debate, and that debate began in a Christian society. And by the way... Lenin exterminated three million Germans and a million Gypsies before Stalin. Responsibility goes to them and Karl Marx. Marxists commit mass murder whenever they gain power. It's not just a Stalinist aberration. Ever heard of Mao? Pol Pot? Ho Chi Minh? Castro's gulag? The Stasi?
by Roger Kovaciny on December 29th, 2006
I know about Mao. But Marx didn't kill those people, Mao and Stalin did. I'd like to hear more about these 3 million Germans, because although I know millions died in the Civil War, that was as much (if not more so) the fault of the invading European forces as the Reds. Slavery also continued for a thousand years or so after Jesus said it was wrong, so these Christians who finally realised that slavery is wrong certainly took their time - think how many people wouldn't have died if they'd come to that conclusion a thousand years earlier. Islam didn't exactly eliminate slavery, but it certainly gave rights to slaves and duties to the slave owners. That may well have had as much effect as Christianity had on slavery, but it still did a world of good. The people in Western society who were against slavery were not only Christian, but also liberal athiests and agnostics. I thought you didn't like Liberalism? Does that mean you support slavery?

Hitler and Stalin Conquer Britian and the whole continent of europe? i would like to see that happening, no if they did try to conquer that they would need massive massive amounts of troops and tanks, if germany needed that many tanks it wouldn't even survive, why? Because it's tanks are slow and uses a lot of gas and precious steel and metal, In one day a single german tank factory could make somewhere between 1-4 tanks while a single american factory could make somewhere between 5-9 tanks. Germany was already low on natural resources, although the MP-40 and MG-42 use stamped metal sheets and few steel the number of troops will need more weapons which means more steel for guns and bullets. Trying to conquer europe with limited resources is not a good idea, and russia? they might have numbers but it all depends on how well your troops moral is, good weapons, hygiene, how organized is it and support. I'll make a reference with one battle of the vietnam war to prove it.
by O_hare on January 3rd, 2007
It was the battle of the La Drang of 450 US Helicopter soldiers versus over 2000 NVA troops. The US won because of good tactics, weapons and skills and they were somewhat organized. whereas the NVA still had good weapons and outnumbered the US they just followed simple orders without any great detail and just rushed in to battle the US. Result. over 200 US casualties and 800 NVA casualties. the rest of the NVA retreated.

Marx is the grandfather of evil in the modern world so perhaps he should get that title.
