and therein lies the problem. Lets not forget that the Catholic Church are pretending that child abuse does not, has not and is not happening within their faith. While they're doing that the Church of England is busy pretending that gay people aren't real people and then we have your modern take on these old out-of-date religions: welcome Scientology and all its nutters.

If the Catholic Church threw up their hands and announced: "OK, we admit it - we have a problem. Here a list of those who deserved to be punished and here''s a list of the victims" - not only would it make a mockery of the religion itself but it could potentially, be the end of Catholosicm. The faithful would question the religion and those who deliver it's teachings. You can almost hear the cries of "Hyprocrits" even at this early stage. It is not wise to preech to the masses from the moral highground and then admit to child abuse in the same breath. The trouble this could cause (think of people going on witch-hunts as they find out the names of those involved) has far reaching consequences. After all, what on earth would we do with the damn Pope (who ultimately condones child abuse by turning a blind eye and allowing priests to be relocated to the back of beyond when they stand accused. Incidentally, the Vatican to this day, refuses to hand over priests accused of child abuse to the Police),

Taking the above (which is the tip of the iceberg) into account, what chance do you think you have got of getting them to apply the same rules to you as themselves. None. If you ask me, they are a pain in the arse along with all the other religions - they cause nothing but trouble for everyone and I think the world would be a better place without the hordes of interfering busy-bodies sticking their noses into peoples lives from the moral highground.
