Religion gives people, that need it, an answer to life's questions that we have not yet been able to answer with science. It provides order to what otherwise seems to be chaos and gives people a reason for their existence.

    • Yeah its more of a phsychological instinct to grasp on something thinking its true so they won't panic.

    • I agree with your answer. During hard times and difficult moments in life, Religion becomes very comforting. Karl Marx used to say that "Religion is the opium of the people". Well, these days for a lot of people it is a mild relaxant. Lets call it a Xanax, not Opium.
